Founded in 1974 under the Archdiocese of Gulu, Giulio Pastore Pre-Primary & Primary School has grown from humble beginnings into a beacon of educational excellence in Northern Uganda. Our journey is a testament to the power of faith, community, and an unwavering commitment to every child who walks through our gates.
Rated over 75% fit for providing education by the Ministry of Education and Sports, and now serving over 778 learners, we continue to bounce back stronger — building futures one child at a time.

Guided by our Catholic values of Love, Faith and Passion, pupils and staff visited a vulnerable elderly woman in Gangdyang Cell — cleaning her home, washing her clothes and donating food and clothing.
Under the guidance of His Grace Archbishop Raphael P'Mony Wokorach, whose vision calls every Catholic school to evangelise through education, Giulio Pastore Pre-Primary & Primary School continues to place Christ at the centre of all learning — inspired by our core values of Love, Faith and Passion.
This term, our school reached out to a 70-year-old woman in Gangdyang Cell, Pandwong Division, who has long suffered a paralysed leg with no children, husband or stable shelter. With no support apart from the grace of God and a Good Samaritan's old house, she lives in deep vulnerability.
On 20th November 2025, our pupils and staff visited her — cleaning her compound, washing her clothes and donating food and clothing. A beautiful act of Christian love that echoes Jesus' own words:
"Whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me." (Matthew 25:40)
Through this outreach, our learners grew in compassion, gratitude and a deeper Catholic identity — living our mission of evangelising through education with love in their hearts, faith in their actions and passion in their service.
Headteacher Mr. Komakech Richard Odur reminded the school: "We don't give to show off — we give to lift others. Real charity lives in our everyday actions."
We remain committed to forming children who embody the Gospel in word and deed. May God's mercy and healing surround all those we visited — and may our pupils carry this love with them always.
Giulio Pastore Pre-Primary & Primary School officially launched its first-ever Monthly Charity Outreach Programme in July 2025, teaching pupils what it truly means to love and serve others.
Giulio Pastore Pre-Primary & Primary School has proudly emerged champions of the 2025 Kitgum Municipality Northern Uganda Debate Council Competition — a proud milestone for our school community.
