I extend heartfelt greetings to our chief shepherd, His Grace Raphael p’ Mony Wokorach (mccj), Metropolitan Archbishop of Gulu; my fellow priests; religious men and women; the Giulio Pastore Nursery and Primary School family, including the School Management Committee (SMC), teaching and non-teaching staff, pupils, parents, alumni, and esteemed guests.

Welcome to this celebration of 50 years of “shaping minds and nurturing souls” at Giulio Pastore Nursery and Primary School. May you feel at home and at Giulio Pastore as we honor this remarkable milestone. Let us together thank God for the privilege of witnessing this momentous occasion, marking a journey that began in 1974, long before many of us were born. To God be the glory and praise.

My personal journey with Giulio Pastore Nursery and Primary School began in 2018 when I volunteered to assist learners with Religious Education. Two years later, I was entrusted with the honor of serving as the school’s director. As I now stand here during this 50-year celebration, I am deeply humbled and overjoyed to be part of the story of this exceptional institution.
Reflecting on the Message of the Director Giulio Pastore Nursery and Primary School historic projects accomplished over the past five years, despite challenges, I am more convinced than ever that honest collaboration and shared passion can achieve great things, even with limited resources.

I extend my heartfelt gratitude to the School Management Committee, led by Mr. Obwoya Martin, and the current Head Teacher, Mr. Komakech Richard Odur, for your tireless and dedicated service. To our dear parents, who remain our sole source of funding and steadfast support, I thank you for your faith in the school’s management and teachers, even during challenging times. May God bless you abundantly.

Greetings from the Management of Giulio Pastore Primary School! On behalf of the school management, I extend heartfelt gratitude to the Almighty God for His immense blessings upon the school over the past 50 years. Despite the challenges posed by the global COVID-19 pandemic, which greatly impacted education, including at Giulio Pastore Primary School, we are delighted to report significant achievements. The school has attained over 90% of its strategic goals and exceeded its enrollment target by 119%.

We acknowledge and deeply appreciate our parents, who remain the backbone of this institution. Their unwavering support has been instrumental in shaping the school into what it is today. In recognition of this, we have implemented policies and measures aimed at delivering quality education, even with the limited resources provided by parents, while continuing to seek additional support from partners to achieve our vision.

Through parental contributions, the school has made remarkable progress, including the installation of a solarpowered clean water system, renovation of school buildings, construction of a waterborne toilet for girls, and erection of protective walls around the school premises. These developments have significantly enhanced the learning environment and the safety of our school.

We also extend our deepest gratitude to our dedicated teachers, led by Mr. Odur Richard, for their unwavering commitment to the school. It is our sincere prayer that we continue to enhance their capacities as resources allow. Many of our teachers are pursuing further studies, a commendable strategy for improving the quality of education.

Finally, we express our appreciation to the leadership of Christ the King Parish, Kitgum, especially Fr. Raphael, whose consistent presence and support have greatly eased our work.

Over the past five decades, we have fostered holistic development, equipping young minds the Headteacher to excel academically, spiritually, and morally.

It is with immense pride and great joy that I extend my heartfelt congratulations to the entire Giulio Pastore Nursery and Primary School community as we celebrate our Golden Jubilee, 50 years of success and shared achievements.

Since its founding, Giulio Pastore Nursery and Primary School has been a centre of hope for the children of Kitgum District. Through the dedication of the foundation body, our teachers, the commitment of our parents, and the hard work of our pupils, the school has not only provided quality education but has also nurtured values of unity, integrity, and perseverance. We stand here today as a testament to the power of education in transforming lives and shaping a better future for our communities.

As we look back on the achievements of the past, we must also set our eyes on the future. The challenges of tomorrow require that we continue to invest in the growth of our school, in the development of our children, and in creating an environment that fosters Chairperson Organising Committee, Golden Jubilee Celebration learning, creativity, and leadership. Together, we will build on the legacy of excellence that has defined this institution and ensure that Giulio Pastore Nursery and Primary School remains a pillar of strength and pride for generations to come.

I extend my deepest gratitude to all who have supported us along the way, the dedicated staff, our parents who have financed the greatest percentage of today’s budget, our alumni who inspired us to make informed decisions in planning this occasion, the school management who all along stood by the organizing committee and not forgetting the entire central organizing committee members here present before you. Let us continue to work hand in hand to make Giulio Pastore Nursery and Primary School a place where dreams are nurtured and futures are shaped.
